As much as we sit there in the theatre or at home and thrill to the
great work of these composers..Verdi..Puccini.Wagner..etc....there is
still NOTHING like actually DOING IT!!!!!
The amazing intricacies of a Verdi ensemble, for example, come
to life when you are standing there and actually singing those
ensembles. One does need to be some kind of "star" to enjoy this. I
recall how many community groups exist all over the country..and
world..and how the every-day citizen" can partake in these events..and
what joy one experiences in "making music."
This is especially fresh in my mind today after our Aida
dress rehearsal last night, where we are up there and all those great
soloists are blasting the hell out of the end of act two and all the
SQUILLO of tenor, mezzo and soprano on those B flats,C flats (as written
in the score) are surrounding you..enveloping you..and you are doing
the "bottom line" (Ramfis/King) but all of it comes together in such a
glorious finale....it fills you with joy that you are "making it
happen."
There is no better way to truly appreciate what these
geniuses have accomplished than to be a part of it,and I know some of
you have been involved similarly in such undertakings..best therapy in
the world!!! as ever Charlie

Yet another self-serving "me me me" post. You don't even try to
disguise it with the usual phony question to the group. At long last,
have you no shame?

Ramfis/King? Are not both characters onstage at the same time? I
wonder how you did it. Mirrors?

It would take more than mirrors...they also sing at the same time (and
NOT in unison) during the consecration scene and the triumphal scene, I
believe....

Jag asks:

Yes, there ARE.

>or can't you count.

Handelman and his soul's purchasers are notoriously unable to do that,
even using their snot-laden fingers and encrusted *snot-flakes (*Note to
Ediot: close your yap! Dinner comes later).

And take the Ediot with him.

Nice couple, they are....

Re the "saint's" performances:

When one is a schizoid, soulless hypocrite like our "saintly one",
perhaps he can manage it without mirrors?

The ediot is waiting with anticipatiory breath to grab 50 cans, mix 'em
with a commensurate amount of s-swigs, and gulp 'em all down - con
Gusto!

They are so ignorant..they never heard of doing multiple roles in
concert venues......Imagine their total ignorance of the whole
thing....i love to talk to myself...it is fun.

My friend james Jorden says that i am no good unless i do at least 6
roles in every opera!!!

I forgot..i also did Ferrando/Gypsy/Messenger/Ruiz in Trovatore....CH
