Does anyone know if the LP recital on London Records w/Jaime Aragall has
ever been remastered to CD?
There is a wonderful 2 CD Golden Age of Opera set of live stuff from
Favorita, Werther, Lucia, etc., (1968-73) but I have never spotted the old
London studio recital.

Yes it was briefly coupled with another singer.
But why don't you ask Mr Handelman when he gets back from his
rehearsal? He has over 6000 recordings I believe.

Er, this was/is a commercial studio release - Mr. Handelman deals with live
performances. I thought that was common knowledge around here.

Well, it was released. Unfortunately you missed it but part of another
CD by someone better known than him.

If I am mistaken I apologise. But I believe on YouTube Mr Handelman
also deals with commercial performances or am I wrong about that as
well?
I believe some of his contributions to YouTube also involve commercial
studio videos.
Either way it doesn't matter. Yes it came out and people missed it.
Oh, well.

Greetings!
So what was the name of the set on CD? Who was the other singer it
was combined with? (I'm also a fan of his and this sounds like a
fascinating collection!) Thanks! >> Stay informed about: Jaime Aragall CD(?) |

Not so fast, cowboy. Mr. Handelman has put many videos up on YouTube
that look suspiciously like commercial studio releases. The Moffo E
Strano-Sempera Libera comes to mind. You don't really think that Anna
gave Charlie a private lap dance with his camera, do you? >> Stay informed about: Jaime Aragall CD(?) |

There is (was?) also a recital CD on Eurodisc 610288-231, recorded in may
1985 with the Munich Radio Orchestra, conductor Lamberto Gardelli with arias
from La Bohème, Manon Lescaut, Il Duca d'Alba, L'Arlesiana, Adriana
Lecouvreur, Un Ballo in maschera, Macbeth, Turandot, Faust, Romeo et
Juliette, L'Africaine, Manon, Werther and Carmen.

Hi Paul-
Is this the one from the mid-70s, with Gianfranco Rivoli conducting the
Barcelona Symphony Orchestra?
If so, the answer to your question is "yes." I found it in Barcelona,
reissued on an RCA/BMG "Great Spanish Artists" CD.
Best,

mark wants to spend some time on Youtube he will see that there are
THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of so-called "Commercial' releases....but he

Giacomo(Jaime) Aragall should have been much greater..he al;ways
appears to be SCARED on his videos..This man had one of the most
gorgeous voices..but as i am told...there are a lot of psychological
problems..a shame..I love this dude. >> Stay informed about: Jaime Aragall CD(?) |
