Post subject: Henry Fogel in Nashville

Today's Tennessean (Nashville) newspaper has a major article about our
Symphony and its hosting of the American Symphony Orchestra League
convention. Henry Fogel, president of the League, is pictured and
quoted as follows: "The Nashville Symphony Orchestra is one of the
success stories in this country." Welcome to Nashville, Henry! The
Symphony is looking forward to its second season in its new, world-
class hall, and has more than doubled its ticket sales. The main
problem facing the Symphony is replacing its music director, Kenneth
Schermerhorn, who died of cancer two years ago.

As a member of the Symphony Chorus I have sung dozens of concerts with
the Symphony, many of them with Kenneth. My trips to the west coast
in the past few years have prevented me from participating in their
recent music making. I have been unable to comply with their
rehearsal schedule. But there is time for opera and I will sing tenor
in the ensemble in Samson and Delilah this October and in Trovatore
next April, with the Nashville Opera.

Presuming is your sole metier, kazzie, without it, you've nothing, -
and are nothing..

However:
'one of the Philistines' is a role made for an 'erstaz[sicKeroo]
cantor'; you know, like -

Exactly.

I have been informed that I will impersonate an oppressed Hebrew in
the first act and a dancing slave girl in the third.
