Yes, Carlo Bergonzi and my mother share the same birthday, July 13.
Carlo is a kid compared to my mom, who is a hearty and hale 97 today!
I join all opera lovers in wishing Il Grande Bergonzi a very Happy
Birthday, and many more. I join all my friends and relatives in
wishing my mother a very Happy Birthday, and many more, even at 97!!

Well.....If we didnot have these two....the opera world would have
been sadly lacking..especially the lady who gave birth to someone who
has contributed so much to our opera listening..(and he has a b
