Post subject: Elektra DVD - Rysanek
Hello,
A long time ago I watched on PBS a film of Elektra directed by Gotz
Friedrich that had Leona Rysanek in the title role. The orchestra was
the Vienna Philharmonic, conducted by Karl Bohm. To this day, I don't
think I have seen a staging or film of this opera that matches the
power of this performance. Does anybody know if this exists on DVD
and if so, where I might be able to order a copy?
